Collector’s Wall

Three decades of collecting, most of it in storage, some of it hung in an order that no longer meant anything to the people living with it.

The brief

Show the collection properly. Accept that showing all of it at once was never going to be possible.

What changed

We built a single wall to hold twelve works at a time, with the remainder catalogued and rotated twice a year. The collection is seen more now that less of it is up, and each rotation gives the room a second life without a single purchase.
